BAC Delegation Attends the 22nd International Commercial Arbitration Conference

    From April 6th to 9th, 2014, the 22nd International Commercial Arbitration Conference was held at Miami, Florida, USA. More than 1,000 representatives of the arbitration circle from all over the world attended the conference. As the only sponsor from the Mainland of China, Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC) dispatched a delegation led by Deputy Division Chief Zhang Haoliang to attend the conference on invitation. The theme of the conference is “Legitimacy: Myths, Realities, Challenges”. In the form of topic groups as well as from the dimensions of “correctness” and “fairness”, the conference organized in-depth discussions on some important issues in the international arbitration and treaty arbitration field, such as evidences, provisional measures, witnesses and expert witnesses, formation of arbitral tribunal, role of arbitration institutions, the international integration of arbitration.

    Sponsored by the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC), the International Commercial Arbitration Conference is held once every two years and is broadly recognized as international grand gathering in the arbitration circle. BAC takes the International Commercial Arbitration Conference as an important platform for its international development, and introduces the arbitration legislation and practice in China through its exchanges with experts of the arbitration circle including representatives of major arbitration institutions in the world, practicing lawyers and judges. BAC’s development history and achievements in recent years have won the recognition and appraisal of the world arbitration circle to itself and to China’s arbitration undertakings.

BAC Delegation Attends the In-House Counsel Beijing 2014

     The In-House Counsel Beijing 2014 was grandly held at The Peninsula Beijing on March 19, 2014. Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC) dispatched a delegation led by Deputy Secretary-General Chen Fuyong and Deputy Division Chief Zhang Haoliang to attend the meeting, and brought to the meeting the voice of a leading institution for commercial dispute settlement in China.

BAC Attends the 11th ALB China Law Awards Ceremony

    The 11th Asian Legal Business (ALB) China Law Awards Ceremony was held on April 24, 2014 in Beijing, honoring 38 award-winners. The awards in 39 categories commended leading law firms and legal personnel in China and attracted the participation of 250 famous legal experts from world renowned law firms, companies and investment banks.
