Thailand mulls limits to arbitrability after �9 million award
  27 July 2009, The Thai Ministry of Justice has proposed limiting access to arbitration, a short while after three arbitrators ordered it to compensate a German construction firm under the Germany-Thailand investment treaty.

World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center Office was set up in Singapore
  Jul. 28th, Francis Gurry, WIPO Director General, and Mr. K Shanmugam, Minister for Law of Singapore signed an agreement, and decided to set up a WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center Office in Singapore. The office is scheduled to operate officially in January next year.

ICC arbitrators must disclose availability
  The ICC Court has announced that all arbitrators must in future disclose details about their availability up to 18 months in advance, amid concerns that overbooking is causing "unreasonable delays" in ICC arbitrations.

Singapore to adopt some of 2006 UNCITRAL changes
  Singapore’s Ministry of Law has proposed adopting some, but not all, of the UNCITRAL 2006 amendments, stopping short in particular of allowing tribunals to make expert preliminary orders.

AAA Announces Moratorium on Consumer Debt Collection
  The American Arbitration Association today announced its decision not to accept new consumer debt collection arbitration cases effective immediately.
