  The training course on International Commercial Arbitration officially commenced at the International Conference Hall of the Beijing Arbitration Commission (hereinafter referred as BAC) on May 23-24, 2009, where there were about 130 people in total to participate, including large state-owned enterprises’ senior management personnel, legal personnel, lawyers and arbitrators.

  The 3rd salon of this year (51 salons in total) has been held on 22 May 2009 at the International Conference Hall of the BAC, where Professor LiangYi Yang gave a lecture on the “Enforcement of Arbitral Awards”. There were about 110 people including arbitrators to participate.

  2009 annual arbitration conference of the southeastern area has been held in Shaoxing Yonghe Manor on 7-8 May 2009, where there were 44 delegates of 30 arbitration agencies from Fujian, Anhui, Jiangxi, Zhejiang to participate it. Its main themes were: to convey the spirit of 2009 Work Symposium on the National Arbitration; Taking the scientific development as the guideline, to explore and exchange the experience or working thought on the “foundation work of arbitration development, standardization of in-house administration, and characteristic innovation of arbitration way”.

  A student delegation from the Northeastern University visited BAC on may 4, 2009.

  Rules for Online Arbitration of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission has been formally implemented on the date 1st of May 2009. In principle, these rules can be applied to the disputes of all contractual or non-contractual economics and trades, etc., and it is mainly applied to solve the e-commerce disputes at the present stage.
